Write a very short story - between 100-200 words. Don't worry if it's not "funny" to start; the word replacements are what make it funny.

Possible Prompts:
funny or embarrassing incident that happened to you
o a personal ad or job description
o your everyday routine
• A spooky Halloween story
o a fictional character overcoming an obstacle.
Blank out and replace at least TEN of the words, representing each of the eight parts of speech at least
once: noun, pronoun, verb, adjective, adverb, preposition, conjunction, and interjection. Be specific with
some of your requests to help it make sense (i. e. plural noun, noun-food, noun-name of someone in the
class, etc.). Put the part of speech in brackets in the blank, and list the parts of speech at the top of the
page. When you share with the class, you will fill in the brackets, but the list at the top will serve as
evidence that you included all eight parts of speech.
