1.one conflict is that the white people in roll of thunder, hear my cry don't treat the African american people fairly. 2.And Cassie struggles to control her own fear and worry. She is so quiet that both Big Ma and Mama notice a change in her behavior. Cassie started not really eating or sleeping as much as she usually does, and Big Ma says Cassie has been talking in her sleep.
