Read Wordsworth’s poems, “I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud” and “She Dwelt Among the Untrodden Ways.” In your journal response, focus on Wordsworth’s use of metaphor and simile (figurative language) to convey meaning in one of these poems. For instance, what metaphors or similes do you see in one of the poems? What do these metaphors or similes suggest in the poem? How do they contribute to the poem’s overall meaning? Also, in your response, note the “romantic” traits that you find in his poem (You may want to review DB #3 to get a sense of the “romantic” literary traits).
