Students will pick one amendment from the Bill of Rights to write 1-2 paragraph explaining a vocabulary word or concept in the chosen amendment. They will explain the meaning of the concept or vocabulary word in the amendment and then rephrase it into more modern terms. They will include some contrasting words or ideas to strengthen their explanation. For full points students will need to include at least two of the following: -compare and contrast with more familiar words -discuss what the word or concept does not mean -identify common meaning that an average person may use -provide examples of ways in which the word or concept is used today
-provide a personal example

Students will write 1-2 paragraphs (4-5 sentences each minimum) for full credit.
