If a terrorist attack happened today, would the country come together or fall further apart?

This is purely based on opinion, but I honestly think the country would come together.

On the actual 9/11, lots of people helped to clean up and serve people in need. Because of this, and because we've had experience with this sort of thing, I think we would come together again.
