Could someone correct my essay for me? thanks! grammar tips, tone tips, or anything that you think would help!

Multiple times in the spring, I stayed up all night playing games or talking to friends. To prevent my mother from getting upset, I would pretend I had woken up early to go for a walk. Behind my house lies a large pond. After my walk around the forest, I would sit down on the opposite side of the water to watch the critters perform their morning routines. While the crisp air was refreshing, it was not enough to keep me awake. This resulted in me resting my eyes for a few hours while lying in front of the lake, accompanied by the loving creatures in the woods.
If you were a bird soaring over the pond, you could see the form of a right triangle. The ninety-degree angle being at the bottom right. There are three peninsulas, all on the opposite side from the right angle. From right to left, the first is the longest. It has fewer trees and bushes, and the grass is short. If you were to walk on it after rainfall, your shoes would flood, for It’s the lowest of the three. The second, my personal favorite, is taller than the first but has more bushes and longer grass. If you went to the end, you would have trouble seeing the water. The final peninsula, is diagonal, with so much vegetation it's hard to get to the end. It is the shortest, but most complicated to navigate through. Pinchy trees will somehow always manage to keep you from getting to the border.
If you were me, on that spring morning drifting to sleep, you would have quite a different sensation than the birds gliding over the pond. In front of my normal spot, just before the first peninsula, there are three old pine trees. All spaced out somewhat evenly. Beyond them stands a cliff above the lively water. This is the widest part of the lake. Behind the murky mirror of the sky, leans a thin curtain of trees casting a shadow over the pond. You would feel the grass tickling your ankles, and smell the dew on the leaves. A soft sound of crickets creaking can always be heard, though it is softer in the morning. Ducklings leaving ripples in the water can be seen as they follow their mother. If you manage to stay awake, a family of deer always come prancing in the shallow water. Though, if you rest your eyes for a few seconds they’ll be long gone.
At dusk, the crickets chirps become significantly louder. The sun casts a glow over the trees and their shadow shifts over my house. The muddy reflection of the blue sky changes to shades of pink and orange. The deer race in the forest enfolding the pond. Mosquitos buzz. You can see venus starting to glow in the sky. Frogs come out and start splooshing and splashing, replacing the ripples that the ducks left earlier in the morning. Squirrels, who are happy to have made it through the winter, spring up and down the tolerant trees. Creatures all around are snickering. From all the subtle noise, it seems that all animals love the charming sight of a sunset as well. This scene is so familiar to me that it has become comforting. Surrounded by swaying trees and rustled leaves, I’m happy.
As the sun retires and more stars start to appear the music dies down, but never stops. Now, the pond water is completely still. An owl’s hoot can be heard in the distance. The deer have gone to sleep under the tiny lamps in the sky. The moon glistens in the water. Everything is so still that it seems painted. The crickets have calmed down, but not stopped, as they sing day and night. Yellow glows begin to dance in the night. Though they acquired the name lightning bugs, they prefer clearer skies. The frogs have stopped playing in the water, but continue to ribbit. The scent of life is vague but sweet.
Although staying up late wasn’t the healthiest, and my plan almost always failed because my mother could see me dozing off from her kitchen window, I don’t regret getting familiar with the music of the woods. Now that I’ve watched the stunning scenery morning through night, I know that the forest isn't just trees placed in a random order, It is a city. It is a city full of friends and family. The morning critters like the deer and ducklings, will play in the pond, while the nightlife like fireflies and owls, will sing lullabies until dawn.
