Some people love shopping. For them, shopping is fun. Perhaps it is the thrill of the hunt or a chance to find something that will make your life better. Shopping is an adventure, and a chance to be with friends. Shopping is a way to prevent boredom.Some people hate shopping. They avoid stores, seeing it as a frustrating or time consuming. Some people hate to spend money. Non- shoppers sometimes don’t buy things even when they need them. These are the people who will cobble something together and make it work in the name of being frugal.Recently, I found myself doing more shopping than usual. I started when the zipper on my favorite carry-on broke, which required me to check a bag on a recent trip. My bag did not arrive at my destination, which reminded my why I don’t usually check bags.This led me down a rabbit hole to find the perfect new bag. Of course, I wanted it at the best possible price and I knew that there would be sales for Mother’s Day and Graduation gifts. I was right.In the process for searching for a new bag, I began to think about all of the upcoming trips I have. I needed a bag that was an inch or two smaller than my previous bag so that it would fit in the new and smaller bins at the major US airlines and well as international ones.
