* I'm gonna create this in a parent like point of view*
I disagree, I believe watching tv can actually be good for children. One reason is that TV can help learn about a variety of subjects, If your youngster is interested in a topic, there is almost certainly a TV show, movie, or educational DVD that covers it thoroughly. You might be astonished to learn how many children enjoy and watch adult-oriented instructional programming. Rachael Ray, for example, has a sizable fan base among children and tweens, and her primetime show frequently involves children in the kitchen. Whether or whether they are labeled as "educational," children's shows can provide possibilities for learning. Was your child wowed by the Red Eyed Tree Frog on Go, Diego, Go!, for example? Look for photographs and information about the frog on the internet. In this approach, children can realize how much fun learning can be and develop the habit of learning more about things that interest them. Children will enjoy and learn from documentaries and nature programs. Meerkat Manor on Animal Planet, for example, turns meerkat life into a soap opera that has children enthralled. Another reason is through media, kids can explore places, animals, or things that they couldn’t see otherwise. Most children will never get the opportunity to visit the rainforest or see a giraffe in the wild, but many will have seen these images on television. Fortunately, educationally oriented producers have created a plethora of series and films that allow viewers to witness incredible footage of nature, animals, civilization, and different cultures. This form of media can help both children and adults learn more about our world and the animals and other people that live in it. One last reason is TV shows can inspire kids to try new activities and engage in "unplugged" learning. When children see their favorite characters participating in educational games, they want to join in. Learning activities that incorporate well-known characters are also more appealing to children. Preschool shows are particularly good at creating ideas for learning activities and motivating children through the use of characters. If your child enjoys Blue's Clues, for example, you may make clues and a riddle for them to solve at home, or you can challenge your child to come up with the riddle and clues themselves. Make a typical task into a challenge for your youngster and urge him or her to solve it like the Super Sleuths do.
