Create an outline for a research essay based on the information you found in Lesson 1. Your outline must include a claim, main ideas that support your claim, and details from sources that back up each main idea.
As you build your outline, you are free to find new sources and to get rid of old sources that you no longer find helpful. However, your new sources must meet the requirements from the Lesson 1 assignment: They must be credible and relevant, and at least one must represent a different medium from the others. In Lesson 3, you will use this outline to write a research paper.
Your outline should include the following elements:
A claim that expresses the ultimate point of your essay about a historical hoax
At least two main ideas that support the claim
Supporting points and pieces of evidence that back up each main idea
Information about the source of each piece of evidence
An introduction, body, and conclusion
At least three credible and relevant sources from at least two different media
