If Sam wants to get the best results from exercising then they'll also have to work out their other muscles, such as their legs, stomach, back, and shoulders. Although lifting weights and yoga is a good start, it isn't the most ideal for an everyday workout. Some workout ideas they could add could be lunges, situps, planks, and the good old fashion pushup :)

For diet, it's good to eat things with high protein, but make sure to get your daily calories in, as well as your other vitamins, as if you don't have a balanced diet you could hurt your body. Some foods could be eggs, nuts, orange juice, fruits/vegetables, and lean meats. :)
