Traditionally, our Junior Scouts troop has held its annual end-of-the- year celebration at the recreation hall. Although we have enjoyed many
parties at the rec hall, I believe that we should consider moving the
celebration for this year. We have all outgrown the play equipment at
the rec hall, and we also have more scouts and family members than
can comfortably fit in the space. Instead, we should take advantage of
the great weather at the end of the year and hold the celebration
outside. The picnic shelter al Dale Valley State Park would be the
perfect new location for our party and could be the beginning of a
great tradition.
Which answer option best identifies the claim of this text?
A. Dale Valley State Park has a picnic shelter that could be a great
location for a celebration for scouts and their families.
B. The Junior Scouts celebration should be moved from the recreation hall to the state park.
C. Even though traditions are great, sometimes it is necessary to do something new.
D. Now that the scouts are older, they are no longer interested in the play equipment they enjoyed when they were younger.
