What makes a good teacher great.

Remember that one teacher that gave her student one of her kidneys so she could survive?

Teachers don't have to necessarily go that far (in this case: under the knife, as they would say). It honestly depends in every students and teachers life (what are their situations, for example: finicial situations, personal life, etc..). I personally think a great teacher is a teacher that understands what that students are going through, what they need help with, and actually helps them through those struggles.

For example:

A student recently has a close family member that died and is falling behind in class due to the family's death.

The teacher has a choice of either telling them to focus on their homework/class work or take a break and spend more time with their family (mourning their recent death).

Teachers don't need to give their student their liver to be considered a "great teacher".

Teachers need to understand that student and help them through the tough times they might be going through.

Each student is differently, the teacher just needs to listen, understand, and cooperate with the student like the student does for them.

crooks. crooks is a lively, sharp-witted, black stable-hand, who takes his name from his crooked back. like most of the characters in the story, he admits that he is extremely lonely. when lennie visits him in his room, his reaction reveals this fact.

is lonly and seems to flirt with most of the men on the farm she does not like her hunband much.
