It's an ELA StudySync question :))
Title: When the Waters Rise
The following passage (paragraph 15) adds to the development of the essay mainly by fill in the blank .
"Though the teens used technology to identify neighbors in need, their methods for rescuing were more old-fashioned. Declan’s boat was only supposed to hold three or four people, but sometimes there were as many as thirteen people on it. To reduce the weight, Thomas and Liam rode on a paddleboard tied to the back. Even though he was a swimmer and water polo player, Liam struggled to keep up with the strong current. Foul-smelling garbage littered the water, and fire ants stung his exposed skin.
Answer choices for the above question"
Answer Options:
A.) suggesting that it was too risky to load so many people into the boat
B.) describing the type of boat the teens used to rescue stranded Houstonians
C.) showing the kinds of risks the teens took to save people from danger
D.) suggesting that technology has eliminated the need for individuals to risk their personal safety to help others

Read this passage from the online article “top 10 reasons why everyone is doing yoga” by kathryn livingston. what type of propaganda is the author using? why are so many people doing yoga these days? there must be more to it than endorphins; there has to be a deeper reason why 20 million plus americans have fallen in love with this venerable practice. here is my top ten list – and if you’re a yogi, i’m sure you can think of more.
