Anyone! could writ a summary for me that would be hopeful because i can't do it, i have another stuff to do :). Decide on a real person to characterize through images. This could be a nearly complete stranger you are going to observe and build a character or it can be someone you know quite well, like yourself. Whatever the choice, you must start with a real person.

Write a list of character traits or flaws of this person. Try for about 10 traits. This is your direct characterization of this person. It’s okay to make inferences based on what you know about him or her.

Write your trait/flaws list here:

Construct a collage of images that could characterize this person for the most important traits. Title the collage with this person’s first name. This collage can be done electronically or with old fashioned glue, marker and paper. See Soik for supplies.

Bold up to five of the most important traits in your list above.

Summarize the most important or interesting indirect characterization you found about this person below.

Read the excerpts from “take the tortillas out of your poetry” and “speaking arabic.” my friend had concluded that if he took his language and culture out of his poetry, he stood a better chance of receiving a fellowship. he took out his native language, the poetic patois of our reality, the rich mixture of spanish, english, pachuco and street talk which we know so well. in other words, he took the tortillas out of his poetry, which is to say he took the soul out of his poetry. at a neighborhood fair in texas, somewhere between the german oom-pah sausage stand and the mexican gorditas booth, i overheard a young man say to his friend, “i wish i had a heritage. sometimes i feel—so lonely for one.” and the tall american trees were dangling their thick branches right down over his head. which best states how the structures of both excerpts support ideas about cultural diversity? each incorporates non-english words. each incorporates academic words. each incorporates offensive words. each incorporates nonsense words.
