God was sorry about creating people because they constantly disobeyed his wishes while on earth. As a result of this he caused a large flood that drowned those not in the ark. Noah was told to create the ark because he never disobeyed God and did everything for him and lived his life being the best man he could be for God. Noah brought his wife, their three sons (Shem, Ham, and Japheth), and their son's three wives. Also, 2 of every living thing, male and female, and animals such as cattle. it rained for forty days and forty nights. At the mountains of Ararat Noah's ark come to rest. Noah let his dove out of the ark to know if the waters went down. If the dove returned to Noah, he would know that it is unsafe for him to open the doors of the ark, but if it didn't, he would know that the waters had gone down and that it was safe. After leaving the ark, Noah built an altar for God and offered him burnt offerings to him on the same altar. God promised Noah that he would protect Noah and his family from the flood and that a flood or water would never be used to ruin the earth, again. The sign of promise to Noah from God was a rainbow in the clouds. The ending of the madness was The covenant: which was that there will never be another flood that will destroy the earth and a rainbow at the end of the storm.
