Provide an example in today's society when uninformed people are passionate about a particular point of view. How can this be dangerous?

First thing first, opinions and beliefs of the people who are uninformed are groundless and meaningless. So, their claims are false and baseless. People tend to firmly believe in their own claims rather then gather information whether it is correct. And this can be dangerous for themselves and also the people around them.
