Which actions does a good writer take?

Decent? Basically anyone can write something "decent" as long as they have a basic grasp of the English language and punctuation, grammar rules, things like that. If you're worried about your writing, find somebody (like an English teacher) to look it over and highlight things that need fixing.

But don't just shoot for decent writing! Go for great writing! Or even exceptional writing! Once you've got a handle on all the "rules," have fun with the language. Experiment. Have fun. Write about interesting things. Keep a journal. Enter a poetry contest.

an intensive pronoun is a pronoun that ends in self or selves, such as himself, herself, themselves, yourself, ourselves. since band members is a third person plural, the correct intensive pronoun would be themselves. if the band was talked about as a collective noun, itself would be the appropriate intensive pronoun. intensive pronouns are used to add emphasis to the noun it's modifying which is why it directly follows it.
