write a post about dramatic irony. why would an author choose to give away the ending at the beginning? or why let the audience know certain things that the characters don't know? relate your answer to romeo and juliet or another story that uses dramatic irony.

Dramatic Irony is used to make the reader sit on the edge of their seat. In Romeo and Juliet, an example of dramatic irony, is when the reader knows that Juliet isn't actually dead. So, when Romeo hears of her death, he is devastated and goes to her tomb to kill himself. Dramatic Irony is when the reader knows something a character doesn't. So this causes the Reader to want to yell at Romeo to stop, so she can wake up and they can live happily ever after.
