"A man with no enemies is a man with no character" does anybody know the meaning to this quote??​

If a man faces no battles in life, he has nothing to build his character. Character can only be faced when a challenge is met. How can one say they have good character if they have never been faced with a decision to choose between right and wrong? Enemies need not be another person, they can be forces of nature, desires within oneself. Without these "enemies," character has nothing to challenge it to grow.

sunflower is pretty good, roses is decent though the song isn't that good, those are the best two i could think of
