Lots of molds Lily's father really liked the mug and thought that others would like it too. He asked Lily if he wanted to try to manufacture and sell them. To make many cups, they would have to find a factory. The factory would need a mold so that all the cups were exactly the same shape. And to make the mold, they needed a perfect cup. Working in clay, Lily tried to find the best possible shape. She tried thinner legs (too unstable), thicker legs (too strong grip), and even a fourth leg (too unstable).
