I'm pleased to see that many states outlawed text messaging while driving. That doesn't solve the problem of those who text while biking. Texting and riding is a hazardous combination. No matter how "good" someone thinks he or she is at texting, it still means both hands are likely off the handlebars. That means the person's response time will be greatly slowed if the cyclist needs to brake or swerve. Slower response times can only mean one thing: a greater number of bike accidents. Cyclists who text are also dangerous to drivers and pedestrians. They careen through stop signs and go blindly through intersections, all the while focusing on the keypad instead of the road. I have even seen bikers who are plugged into iPods and texting at the same time! States would be well-advised to put a stop to such behavior. Which statement in this paragraph should be supported with facts or statistics? A.
"Texting and riding is a hazardous combination."
B.
"States would be well-advised to put a stop to this behavior."
C.
"I'm pleased to see that many states outlawed text messaging while driving."
D.
"I have even seen bikers who are plugged into iPods and texting at the same time!"

Read the excerpt from ernest hemingway’s “soldier's home.” his father was in the real estate business and always wanted the car to be at his command when he required it to take clients out into the country to show them a piece of farm property. the car always stood outside the first national bank building where his father had an office on the second floor. now, after the war, it was still the same car. nothing was changed in the town except that the young girls had grown up. how does hemingway’s description of the town as unchanged impact the readers’ perception of krebs? it emphasizes that while the town has remained the same, krebs has changed. it illustrates that krebs despises the town he grew up in because it is boring. it demonstrates that krebs views himself as similar to the other soldiers from his town. it reveals that krebs is jealous of those who were able to stay in town and avoid the war.
