Enlightenment - this was an intellectual or philosophical movement that was centered around the idea of reason. Everything had to have a reason behind it.

Realism - this represents people, things, and situations in an accurate format. make it real

Romanticism - celebrating man and nature; idealization of women -no matter the size - and very melancholy or "dreamy" experiences - a lot of emotion. You can compare this to Enlightenment and how E was all philosophical and now you can write in a way that uses your emotions and feelings. Enlightenment was not about feelings. Romanticism is where a lot of our wonderful poetry comes to be so evident in our everyday lives. Poetry could be used across social, political, and even more philosophical ideas.
