Claim: The winter Olympics should be held every two years so ageing athletes have more chances to compete.

Evidence: A study conducted in 1999 by the organization of Olympic athletes shows that many athletes peak during non-Olympic years and as a result of ageing can no longer compete when the games re-open.

from the political point of view it could be said that the candidate   is an effective speaker because she takes a strong position on the issue. it is an open discussion but probably she is making a presentation and can choose which subjects she wants to address. she is very likely to attain her aim which is to convince voters to accept her proposal.

jenkins wanted the narrator to write a ghost story for his magazine. he wanted the narrator to give the readers a story based on the supernatural. he wanted him to give the readers real 'horror' stories and not the type of live ghosts which he had presented in his earlier stories.
