Read the excerpt from the story Penguin Parade: An Antarctic Adventure: (14) Before long, we had to change into warmer clothing. After bundling up, I stood on the deck and took pictures of the seabirds flying overhead. Mom took pictures of me and she said she would email them to Grandma when we had access to the Internet. "My little photographer," she said happily, putting her arm around my shoulders.

(15) On the second day of our voyage, Mom woke me up early in the morning. "Quick, grab your camera and get out here," she told me as I slowly climbed out of the top of the bunk bed. "You won't want to miss this!"

How do the events in paragraphs 14 and 15 contribute to the reader's understanding of the mother's feelings toward her daughter?

A. By taking pictures, putting her arm around her daughter, and calling her "my little photographer," the mother is showing that she hopes her daughter will one day become a photographer like her.

B. By taking pictures, putting her arm around her daughter, and calling her "my little photographer," the mother is showing that she loves her and that she's happy they are traveling together.

C. By waking her up early, and saying "you won't want to miss this," the mother is showing that she thinks her daughter misses a lot because she is sleeping and she wants to make sure she gets up early this time.

D. By waking her up early, and saying "you won't want to miss this," the mother is showing that she wants her daughter to get motivated with her life and not waste an opportunity to see something remarkable.
