Yes, I do believe that the media plays important role in shaping teens’ views on beauty. Some examples of this are on T.ik Tok, Insta, and even Pinterest. Many teenagers idolize having a "perfect body" which in reality does not exist. Eating disorder rates have gone up in the last year because of this. As a society, we need to increase body positivity instead of making teens feel like they have to conform to one body type.
