When I was five years old, my parents gave me a pair of roller skates for Christmas. I still remember the happiness of that day since it was something that I had wanted for a long time.  

The morning after Christmas, I took my roller skates to the street. I sit on the bench and carefully put them on. My big brother was watching me from the kitchen window. I still remember how he laughed when I first tried to stand up.

After my tenth attempt to stand up from the bench and falling backward, I was ready to give up. At that moment, my brother came into the patio and told me, "Only the ones who don't stand up after every fall fail, think how much you wanted these skates and how much you want to skate and do those tricks that you see the kids do at the park" After that, he gave me his hand and help me to stand on the hard floor.

Carefully he guided me to the desolated street, where I started to give little steps with my roller skates. When he saw that I was confident enough, he took a step backward and gave me an encouraging smile to keep moving. Every time I felt he was there telling me that I could do it. Even when I wanted to give up, he was there believing in me and my potential. With his support, I could give my first steps in my roller skates and feel the wind against my face in combination with the high speed. I will never get tired of that feeling.

Thanks to his support and confidence in me, today, I am one of the best roller skaters in my city. I am planning to compete in the big leagues and become one of the best roller skaters. Every time I felt or think that I can not do it, I think of my brother and his confidence in me. It never fails to give me the strength that I need to keep going.
