Read the following persuasive paragraph. In one to two sentences, explain how the author uses a counterclaim to help support his or her position regarding school uniforms. Be sure to use proper grammar, spelling, and mechanics. "School Uniforms"

Requiring uniforms in public high schools has been debated for many years. There are certainly many positive reasons for having students wear them. If students were uniformly dressed, there would be less distractions about clothing, adding more focus on academics. Another reason to add uniforms is that there would no longer be conflict over how young people dress. There would be no singling out of poorer students who cannot wear designer labels, and young people wouldn't have to worry so much about fitting in because of how they dress. Opponents, however, say requiring school uniforms suppresses a young person's need for individuality. This simply isn't the case, though, as students can use hairstyle, jewelry, and so on to show their individuality. Requiring school uniforms would erase a number of conflicts and problems facing high school students today.
