John wanted to make a good impression on Elena while asking her to prom. He put on his best suit, his best tie, his best shoes, and even his best socks. He needed her to have a good feeling about him, so he wouldn’t get rejected. He put a smile on his face and started to walk towards her. However, one of John’s friends stopped him halfway, because John had an impression in the middle of his shirt, from when his older brother wore the suit to a party.

The word impression is used twice, each with a different meaning. The synonym that I used was “feeling”l in the second sentence (“He needed her to have a good feeling about him, so he wouldn’t get rejected”).

Jack is a jokester in my class, and although I call him this, he wasn't a very funny one. He was an annoying one, at least that's the impression I received from of him. I sat at the front of the class, meanwhile he sat in the back and i could always here commotion coming from his direction. He liked to do impressions of different characters, even hurtful imitations of people in the class. Im lucky my seat is far away from him.
