3) Billie Jean King means that if it wasn't for Gibson then many black woman would have to work harder and they wouldn't believe that they could do it, but Gibson showed the world that you can do anything if you put your heart and dedication into it.

I believe this because she faced so many hardships in her life but didn't give up, those hardships that she faced just shaped her more and made her more determined. Most people just give up but she was not going to because she wanted to be the best there was. I also think she is a sports legend because she had so much determination and perseverance and she was one of the people who broke the record and showed other black woman and men that they can do anything with hard work, practice, determination and they can be anyone no matter their color.
