Explanation:In "The Story of an Hour" we have a story aimed at telling the lack of freedom that women suffered within their marriages and in the eyes of society in general. This is because this short story presents a woman who lived in an unhappy marriage, but is extremely happy to know about her husband's death, because she knew that with him dead she could enjoy her life, see the beauty of the world and be literally free.

The definition of this story is important for us to understand how the role of women within a marriage has changed over time, moreover, history shows that there are evils that happen for good, to remove something bad from our life.
