Explanation:

Trees sway dangerously as the wind blows,

The foundation of this house groans,

The sea only 30 feet away grows closer and closer,

Debris flies around outside my attic window,

We didn't listen to the evacuation warning,

We believed this storm couldn't possibly be this bad,

But now the first floor has flooded and the water's rising,

And we're climbing to the roof to be pelted by rain hoping

we'll be saved before nightfall.
