We tell stories to continue the lineage of history. Stories can be used as a primary informational source, and can be seen as a powerful tool.  Stories play as a way for people to retell their experiences of history based on their perspective. This is vital to human existence because without several viewpoints of history, our world would merely be a fairy tale, non-existent.
