In the chapter, “A Country Bumpkin in Paris" of Vincent van Gogh: A Portrait of an Artist, Vincent finally visits his brother and experiences the city life. He is totally enamored by the Impressionists and the experience causes him to change his approach to painting. Although your experience may pale in comparison to van Gogh's, your situation may have caused you to feel different, and excited by a new way of thinking.
