Introduction – the reason you are writing/speech. Eg. I am here today to tell you / or speak to you about the dangers of smoking.
Paragraph 1 – your first reason why you think homework has no value / has value. Homework is valuable because it helps to support your memory. DAFOREST – minimum of 2 DAFOREST. Did you know 70% of children who do not homework will not suffer from dementia when they are elderly?
Paragraph 2 – Your 2nd reason for your argument. Include DAFOREST – 2 minimum
Paragraph 3 – Your 3rd reason for your argument. Include DAFOREST.
Paragraph 4 – Counter argument – to show that you are not bias. Eg. However / In contrast / On the other hand some of you might disagree with me because you think that home work is unnecessary and all the important learning is already done in school.
Paragraph 5 – Revert back to your main argument. Eg, However, I’m here to show you the importance of homework. Include DAFOREST and end on a strong note! End with a rhetorical question / or end with a rule of three.
