Basically, the parents are strict, and they want their children to do good in school.

I have tiger parents because they push me to do really good in school. I can get in trouble easily, and sometimes they would be really strict. Like whenever I want to go hang out with my friends or go to a party, they won't let me leave the house. I must have someone to watch over me, my parents also give me a lot of chores to do, like whenever I am bored, they would tell me to clean the house or sometimes read a book.

The definition of a tiger mom is a mother raising her children in a traditional Chinese way, including strict rules, tough love, and discipline to get children to succeed. An example of a tiger mom is the author Amy Chua who wrote The Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother. My parents are not tiger parents. They will never be strict will their children because that's going to make it hard to succeed in life.
