For those saying they wanted to read a bit more! this isnt the same character but its from the same book Frozen in place, my entire body began to shake, my eyes rolling back into my eye sockets. My pupils began to shrink as I experienced pure panic, unable to think, unable to move, unable to speak. The only noises I could make were small, almost unable to be heard, a mere mutter. The women stepped towards me, and there was no denying she was beautiful, but in an absolutely terrifying way. Her eyes were impossibly blue, and her hair was white and dragged across the floor due to its length. Her way too pale skin seemed to radiate, and her lips parted slightly in an almost malicious way.
She wore a white dress that faded as it reached the end, and it flowed in the wind as she strolled towards me, similar to a ghost. Despite her being physically appealing, I felt only horror as I stared at her. There was something about her. She wasn’t just a nightmare. My eyes continued to widen as I gaped, desperate to be able to move, get away from this monster.
She reached me, and she stroked my cheek as I continued to struggle to breath, and she cocked her head with a smile, seeming to enjoy my suffering. She brought her fingers to my lips, placing her pointer finger over my lip.

Stone, two or three feet thick, the door of wood and iron, a foot thick, and the iron grating which strained the light, i could not being struck with the foolishness of that institution which treated me as if i were mere flesh and blood and bones, to be locked up. i wondered that it should have concluded at length that this was the best use it could put me to, and had never thought to avail itself of my services in some way. i saw that, if there was a wall of stone between me and my townsmen, there was a still more difficult one to climb or break through before they could get to be as free as i was. i did not for a moment feel confined, and the walls seemed a great waste of stone and mortar. i felt as if i alone of all my townsmen had paid my tax. — “civil disobedience,” henry david thoreau based on this passage, how did thoreau feel about his confinement?
