Number 1 - The silk road did not only carry silk, it also carried many other things. Besides silk the Chinease also sold teas, salt, sugar, porcline, and spices. Most things that were traded were some expensive luxury goods. They imported, or bought, goods like cotton, ivory, wool, gold, and silver. They also brought food such as almonds, apples, apricots, peaches, pistachios, rice, and a wide variety of other foods to European kitchens!

Number 2 - However, not just tangible goods were traded along the Silk Road  !  Cultral and religeous exchanges were made also. Mny relegiouns went to different place because of the Silk Road! It also acted as a connection for a global network where East and West indulges met. The spread of paper making also spread on the Silk Road! Without paper we wouldnt be able to do alot of stuff! Heck! Money is paper too! And with different religions going to different places we have more options and more diversity! Now we can all have different religions we can follow!
