For me personally, I am working hard to be the best version of myself, this version includes getting good grades and excelling at sports. To be this, I would need to put in effort towards my academic and athletic life. If I put in all of my effort to achieve this I am also putting my social life at risk, but yes I would be willing to sacrifice this to be the best version of myself that I can be.
