Part C Now, think of another inference you made about the excerpt of “Lincoln the Great.” Write a short paragraph explaining your claim, supporting it with textual evidence, and writing commentary to describe your reasoning. Use parallel structure at least once in your paragraph.
To clarify your understanding of the text, repeat the instructions to a peer before you begin writing. Answer questions and provide explanations to ensure that you and a peer both understand the task.

i didn't see this question anywhere so here's what the plato sample answer said. feel free to paraphrase :).

In this excerpt, the author implies that Lincoln changed his demeanor in order to succeed in politics, and he may not always have been his most sincere self. McClay notes that Lincoln was a “country-boy” who changed his personality to become a “wise, prudent leader.” He begins a paragraph describing Lincoln as a man full of “dry, tall tales,” then discusses how today, he’s ”revered for his combination of faith and modesty” as a man ”who sought to do God’s work.” The way McClay structures this stark contrast, the somewhat sarcastic tone he takes when describing the perception of the political Lincoln as “demigod,” and the “more human” words he uses to describe the real, private Lincoln suggest that the former president may have been somewhat disingenuous or hidden his real self as a politician.

*ill give best answer brainliest*read the excerpt below and answer the question. we did not know, as yet, which was the better side, right or left, which road led to prison and which to the crematoria. still, i was happy, i was near my father. our procession continued slowly to move forward. another inmate came over to us: “satisfied? ” “yes,” someone answered. “poor devils, you are heading for the crematorium.” he seemed to be telling the truth. not far from us, flames, huge flames, were rising from a ditch. something was being burned there. a truck drew close and unloaded its hold: small children. babies! yes, i did see this, with my own eyes . . children thrown into the flames. (is it any wonder that ever since then, sleep tends to elude me? ) so that was where we were going. a little farther on, there was another, larger pit for adults. what is the conflict portrayed in this excerpt from elie wiesel’s night? select all that apply. the external conflict between the nazis and the jews the external conflict between the nazis and the allies the external conflict between wiesel and the inmate the internal conflict between wiesel’s memory of the burning bodies and his desire for peaceful sleep
