Explanation: An essay means a piece of composition on a topic. The definition of it literally varies from person to person but the entire semanticity of different definitions, to some extent,seems to be similar.

Essays can be literally or non literally on any subject or topics. It can be categorised as literary and non literary on the basis of following criteria:

1. The style of presentation

2. Language form and wording

3. The nature of the theme they deal with

4. The purpose of writing

Parts of an essay

1. Introduction are the beginning

- introduction is the first part of the essay.It simply introduces the subject matter by giving general introduction of the topic it should be arresting and pertinent to the subject. It is said that the introduction should be short,clear, simple, complete and impressive.

2. Body are the middle part

- This is the second and the most important part of the essay. In this part the writer elaborates the subject matter. Instruction ,description and collaborations or the supporting details of the central idea of themes should be given after the introduction. This is also called the description parts it contains appropriate facts, figures ,examples, logics and so on.

3. Conclusion of the ending

- the ending may contain the writers own opinion as the summary of the whole writing to a good conclusion may consist of the summary, final conclusion, a suitable quotation and must end with the main point.
