Kenny Sesko 5.3.1- Journal- Personal Susceptibility Journal Health Activities that I engage in that could lead to injury or death are hockey, rollerblading, swimming, and jet skiing. Things I can do to protect me from getting injured while playing hockey is wear a protective helmet, gloves, shin pads, neck guard, elbow pads, pant pads, and a mouthguard. While rollerblading, I can wear a helmet, elbow and knee pads. While swimming, I can make sure that I can see the bottom of the pool or make sure that I am not by any rocks that I can get hurt on. Jet skiing, I can make sure I observe a safe speed and watch for other boaters and jet skiś. Some safer alternatives to these activities would be to participate in roller hockey, instead of rollerblading I can go walking or running, for swimming I can make sure to limit my swimming to a pool, where I can see the bottom of the pool, and for jet skiing I can limit my time when it is not a busy time of day.
