Wild man island Andy struggles to start a [fire] and light the torch. He enters the [cave] and finds several incredible rooms. He passes a deep [abyss] or pit similar to the one in his dream. He notices a “wormhole” that might lead out but decides it’s too [answer] to risk. Finally, he locates a [answer] water pool that shows him he is near the sea. Then he finds an opening to the sea and the wild man’s [answer] nearby. He leaves the cave with difficulty but has to return because the [answer] and weather are so rough. He sees the wild man approaching him at a distance and goes back to the “[answer] ” to escape him.
Chapter 16 Summary
Andy crawls into the wormhole and struggles with terrible [answer] as the hole grows smaller and the fuel of the torch is running out. Finally, the hole widens into a larger cave. A creek is there and harbor [answer] are swimming in it. He sees a [answer] killing a seal and realizes he is near an exit to the cave. Then he sees daylight. Andy can’t leave while the bears are hunting so he has to [answer] until nightfall. So he decides to explore. He finds a burial cave of ancient boat people. There is a [answer] , some drawings on the wall and small boats carved from [answer] . It is proof that his father was right about the earliest Americans. He takes one of the ivory boats, leaves the cave, and, at the end of the chapter, goes to [answer] .
