Question 2 of 10 How does the organizational structure of the passage support the author's
purpose?
It has been fun getting to know Sven, my pen pal from Sweden. We are
both in sixth grade and love reading adventure books. We write to each
other in English, because Sven speaks two languages but I only speak
one. He was surprised by the size of my family- l have five brothers
and sisters, but Sven has none. I like learning about his favorite foods
and hobbles. Sven says he almost never has tacos (my favorite food),
nor does he play tennis (my favorite sport).
OA To persuade the reader to try writing to a pen pal, the author uses
a compare-and-contrast structure to explain how fun it is to get to
know someone.
OB. To inform the reader about the benefits of having a pen pal, the
author uses a problem-solution structure to show how knowing
Sven has made him more open-minded.
Oc. To persuade the reader that Sven is a great pen pal, the author
uses a problem-solution structure to show how he and Sven
resolved a conflict.
OD. To inform the reader about his pen pal, Sven, the author uses a
compare-and-contrast structure to describe how he and Sven are
