After months of planning, your group has successfully led a revolution against your 8th grade Language Arts teacher and removed her from power. She was last seen near the school in a Hello Kitty costume getting on the struggle bus. Your group is now left to run the class:

1. Invent a new ~ism and describe your vision for this class. Discuss elements such as ideology (beliefs), power (leadership), and hierarchy (people). Be creative!

2. Create a new name and motto for the class.

3. Construct the Seven Commandments of the class.

4. Formulate a plan of operation to maintain the purpose of the class. How are you going to make sure the required curriculum in “English” class is learned and that everyone demonstrates acceptable behavior to achieve this goal? Include your methods of enforcing the commandments and a grade scale (yes, you must still submit progress reports and report cards to parents).

5. Using some of the information above, create a poster as propaganda designed to influence other English classes that your way of life in 8th grade English Language Arts is now superior and perhaps they too should revolt against their teacher
