learns that the rest of the people do not have the memories that The Giver does. He begins to
question the wisdom of the way his society is organized. The Giver also wonders what would
happen if the people had the memories. Pretend the Committee of Elders is discussing
whether to give the people the memories. You have been asked to speak to them as a
representative of the Community.
