A dangerous experience of 100 words

I was walking home late one night from work and found myself with this bag on the floor. I looked inside and there seemed to be some sort of a statue inside. When I took it out it was really creepy and quite disturbing. It looked like an elephant with a human body and four arms in a Indian style sitting position. The eyes on it were crystal red and  it scared the he.ll out of me. Then the eyes started glowing and it exploded and I died.

martians or other types of aliens represent a unique fear as opposed to zombies. vampires and other types of monsters.   in most sci-fi stories, aliens come from other worlds and have different or more advanced technology.   abductions and experimentation on human bodies that involve these technologies, or the use of these technologies against human beings and the use of unknown "powers", are a type of fear that's different from that of other types of monsters.
