HELPPP why is keeping a promise important?

its for my expository essay and I need ideas for the Body paragraphs

keeping a promise is important because 1) if you break that promise, it could have a negative effect on the person who you made the promise to. It would make them think you are unreliable. 2) it could positively effect you. the person who you made the promise too could then think they can trust you in the future.
