when i was younger, i could not understand how come my parents read the bible every single day of the week. my father told me he read a chapter a day. at the conclusion of one and a half years, he had read completely through the bible in its entirety. once finished, he would start back at the beginning. it took him around five minutes or so to read a chapter and another five minutes to meditate on and absorb what he had read. he told me that it was the best ten minutes of the day. when he was done, he felt refreshed and at ease. at the present time, i spend ten minutes a day with the bible, and due to the fact that i do, that ten minutes is one of the best parts of my day.
