Prompt: Students will write an informational essay explaining what drives some individuals to take action or make a decision. Everybody makes decisions. Making a decision means to come to a conclusion. When you make a bad decision you can learn from them and improve the next time. Sometimes decisions can be scary because you never know what's going to happen after.

During the beginning of the school year, My grades wasn't looking good. I made the decision to play around and not take my time to focus. Once I started slacking on my work, I had my parents to look over me , and give me tips on how I could do better next time. Once a new month started I began working hard and annotating, then eventually I got better and improved my grades.

I was told that you could always learn from your mistakes, and its true! My parents make their own decisions as well. My mom once made a recipe that she never made before. She didn't just start making the recipe with random ingredients, but she had to watch videos on how to cook her dish, and gather her spices. Once she made the recipe she noticed it didn't come out as she planned, but she kept trying, and watched tons more videos until she improved. Her decision was to watch those videos, and not give up.

Now, my dad he loves playing the drums. He never gave up playing them either. Even when songs got challenging for him, he still tried. Over, and over again. He learned from people on the internet and practiced the same song until he got it right. He didn't find a whole other song to play, and waste his time dealing with another song. His decision was to stick with the same song until he could play it correctly.

Everyone has to make decisions in their life, weather its good or bad. The purpose of making bad decisions is just so you can learn from it. When I made those mistakes in school, my parents motivated me to make good grades. When my mom struggled to make her recipe, watching videos helped her improve. When my dad had a hard time trying to play the drums, he kept playing the song just so he could get better.

Decisions are made in our every day lives, weather we are choosing how we want our hair to be, what type of clothing we want to wear, or what tv show we want to watch. I realize that life is too short to be making the wrong choices all the time, so I will continue to clean up my mistakes, and start making better decisions.

tell me if its goood.
