The resolution of a story is the point when the writer provides a solution to the major problem in the story. Jeremiah's actions were important to the solution of the main problem in the story because his way of handling Anna was the right way of treating the zombies.

He did not allow the Bluegrass music to be put off by Mac and he kept on talking to Anna as a human being with emotions. Even when Anna grasped Mac by the throat, Jeremiah kept on talking to her lovingly, to come back for he knew that she was still there. This helped Anna recover from the zombie spirit that was overcoming her.
